my friends are amazing

i got a flat tire yesterday. i was walking out to my car to go to work and i got a special surprise!!
i didnt know what to do so i called work to tell them that i would be late due to my unfortunate circumstance. but my friend pat said that he would come help me out. so he went to pick up denim and they came to rescue me.

so they got the car jacked up, dug the spare out from the pits of my truck...unscrewed it from its extremely corroded housing, and then realized that one of my lugnuts had a lock. guess who didnt have the key!!

so they drove me to work and went out to find me a key! they couldnt find one though so they bought me a can of fix a flat. they were really going to go back and put on my spare if they found a key. they are so awesome!!

they made me feel so loved.

im going to take them out to dinner.

im in between naps

i dont seem to write anything of much value. maybe fargo is numbing my head. im happy to be here. i like it here. ive only been home for 3 days since i got here and i havent exploded yet.

heres the scenario: we have community bathrooms. to make things more interesting, they put up "toilet talk," just info and junk but there is this "ask away" column where you can submit questions and one of the RA's will answer them. recently someone asked the question, "why cant all halls have 24 hour visition, we are all adults right?" and the bitch responds...
"NO! you are not adults. Freshmen are not adults. not having 24 hour visitation is to your benefit because the opposite sex will not help you in your transition to college (???)" anyway, this is what i wrote up and stuck in the box...

Dear Ask Away:
I am writing in response to the recent “advice” you gave to someone asking why every hall can’t have 24-hour visitation. I found your remarks to be extremely condescending and arrogant. I am not even a freshman but I was offended by your rude comments. It seems as though when young people attempt to cross the line into adulthood, they are bombarded with all the responsibilities that come with the title, yet none of the enjoyable freedoms. Your response was an unneeded reinforcement of this ideal. Most of us, including freshmen, not only have to deal with the stresses of school, but also have a job, pay bills, and take care of our belongings and ourselves. Yet when someone questions the fact that men are not allowed to stay over past 2:00 am, you belittle her with the accusation that she is “not an adult.”
Where do you get off being all high and mighty anyway? You’re probably not older than 20 or 21. What makes you so smart? How do you even know that your writer was even a freshman? If Burgum were a freshman dorm, then yes, your response would have been more appropriate, but we all know that women of many different ages live here. Also, there are plenty of freshmen residing in the high-rises, where 24-hour visitation is allowed. I haven’t witnessed any utter co-ed chaos over there as of yet.
I think you need to get off your high horse and cut it with the snotty responses. This column exists to offer advice, not ridicule. I also find it funny that you can be so pompous, yet make so many stupid spelling mistakes.

i mean honestly, the cunt face spelled "opposite" wrong...twice...in 2 different ways!! oppisite and oppsite.

now... ndsu is all fine and good, but i dont know if im cut out for the whole vet tech thing. recently, we had to hand in a short paper in my intro to vet profession class about why we wanted to be a vet tech. i wrote "i find that i enjoy the company of animals more than that of people. sometimes i just plain old dont like people." and my teacher READ IT ALOUD to the class and said that this is a really bad thing because being a vet tech involves lots of contact with people because, "animals dont have wallets." oops. plus, i ah...got 45% on my last bio test so the whole science thing isnt really falling into place.

when im not at class or at work (which is almost 35 hours this week) i sleep.

we had a douche bag customer today. the guy comes in with a chip on his shoulder and kim asked him if he was ready to order and he replied softly and she couldnt hear him so she was like, what was that? and the fucker stares at her like she is the stupidest woman alive for a second and then belts out "DO...YOU...HAVE...ANY...SPECIALS" i HATE people .

work is sad

today i had to be the shift supervisor for the first time in my life. that was exciting.
it made me sad today because the last customer of the day that we had came in and gave us one of the little coupons we pass out for a free mini pizza, and then he got something else for himself. he was ready to leave after i gave him the big pizza and i was like, dont forget the mini! and he was like oh yeah...i get my little girl tomorrow and she loves pepperoni pizza. it made me sad that he only got her for presumably one day a week or something. and it was so nice that he wanted to surprise her with her own little pizza.
im working a lot. i got shipped to a different store for the weekend, which is why i had to be the supervisor today...because they didnt have one that could work. i suppose its a bit overdue...since ive worked at papa murphys forever. but i dont like telling people what to do. we had some new girls today and this one who is 15 and a little pain in the ass just sits there with her arms crossed when she isnt doing something. the manager told me he has never hired less ambitious people in his life. well anyway, the little prick is pregnant. isnt that wonderful.
